Welcome to Epoch — AI Time Travel Camera ("the App"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the App, you confirm that you are at least 13 years old and agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

2. Description of Service

Epoch is an AI-powered photo transformation application that allows users to:

• Upload photos and transform them into historical era styles using AI image generation technology.
• Browse a gallery of historical eras spanning ancient civilizations to modern subcultures.
• Interact with an AI time travel guide (Chrono) for historical knowledge and cultural insights.
• Save generated images to their device photo library.
• View their time travel history within the App.

3. User Accounts

• You must sign in using Sign in with Apple to access the App's features.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account.
• You may delete your account at any time through the Settings page, which will permanently remove all associated data.

4. Virtual Currency — Time Sands

• "Time Sands" is the App's virtual currency used to generate AI time travel transformations.
• Each transformation costs 20 Time Sands.
• Time Sands can be purchased through in-app purchases via Apple's payment system.
• All purchases are final and non-refundable, except as required by applicable law or Apple's refund policies.
• Time Sands have no real-world monetary value and cannot be exchanged, transferred, or redeemed for cash.
• We reserve the right to modify the pricing and availability of Time Sands packages at any time.
• Upon account deletion, all remaining Time Sands will be permanently forfeited.

5. User Content

• You retain ownership of the photos you upload to the App.
• By uploading a photo, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process the photo through our AI services solely for the purpose of generating your time travel transformation.
• You represent that you have the right to upload any photos you submit and that your photos do not violate any third party's rights.
• You are solely responsible for the content of the photos you upload.
• AI-generated images are provided for personal, non-commercial use.

6. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to:

• Upload photos containing illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, or objectionable content.
• Upload photos of other individuals without their consent.
• Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App.
• Interfere with or disrupt the App's servers or networks.
• Use automated means to access or use the App.
• Resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit generated images without permission.

7. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

• AI-generated images are created by third-party AI models and may not be historically accurate.
• We do not guarantee the quality, accuracy, or appropriateness of AI-generated content.
• The AI Time Guide (Chrono) provides information for entertainment purposes and may contain inaccuracies.
• We are not responsible for any decisions made based on information provided by the AI Time Guide.

8. Intellectual Property

• The App, including its design, features, content, and branding, is owned by Epoch and protected by intellectual property laws.
• The era descriptions, prompts, and curated content within the App are proprietary.
• You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on the App.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, EPOCH SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE APP, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF PROFITS, OR DAMAGES ARISING FROM AI-GENERATED CONTENT.

11. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes by posting updated Terms within the App. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

12. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Epoch operates, without regard to conflict of law principles.
